Description
Heritage Amati Cello
Antonio & Hieronymus Amati, Cremona, c.1616
The Brothers Amati are considered to be two of Cremona’s finest makers. Their work closely follows that of their father Andrea, the founder of the Cremona school. Their violins are typically femininely small while their tenor and bass instruments are more robust both in size and tone. The cello is typical of the Brothers Amati’s work, although like all of their cellos it has been reduced in size.
The Heritage Amati Cello offers an outstanding instrument for the advanced student (HEM or Conservatorium) or semi-professional player. The instruments are handmade & hand varnished and represent the highest level of workmanship from this renowned workshop. The cello is offered in a fully antiqued finish.
